Nuñez, Celeste
Painter and ceramist born in Montevideo (Uruguay).
Studied drawing and painting with Julio Uruguay Alpuy, José Gurvich, Manuel Pailós and Augusto Torres and ceramics with Marco López Lomba and José Collell.
Travel to Portugal, Spain, France, England, Switzerland, Italy, Egypt and Greece (1954-55).
Realized together exhibitions with members of the Torres García School, since she enter at this School until his closed, and at firsts Plastical Arts Fairs at Cagancha Square (Uruguay).
Realized his first individual exhibition at the Uruguay-USA Cultural Alliance (Uruguay) in 1970.
Obtain the 3rd Prize at the IX Interior Contest for his oil "Landscape".
Her works are in private collections of Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Spain, Egypt, France, Greece, England, Italy, Portugal, Switzerland, Uruguay and USA.
Died in Montevideo on 23th June of 2010.
