Malatés, Werner
Born in Dolores (Soriano, Uruguay) in 1938, where realize his first studies. Between 1954 and 1995, render to the Uruguayan Air Force, learning Art and Painting History, Pictorial technics,Composition, Perspective, Form, Light, Color, etc., during irregular periods and practice drawing.
Start his drawing and painting formal studies in 1995 with Eduardo Espino at the Plastical Arts Studio of Automobile Club of Uruguay, where attend until 1996 (general theory, pencil, charcoal, pastel, oil and mixed technics). In 1997 incorporate at Arte Club Studio, learning oil with Aldo Curto. In 1998 realized painting studies with Sergio Curto. In 2000 start "Art Work Appreciation" course by Oscar Larroca.
In 1999 present one of his works to Bermerhaven's Mayor (Germany) by the School Ship R.O.U. "Capitán Miranda". In December of same year, take part in Jornadas de Taller Abierto, organized by "La Foglia" at Montevideo World Trade Center (Uruguay).
In 2001 donate a work to the School Ship R.O.U. "Capitán Miranda", to be presented at foreign countries. In September of same year, his work "Ranchada" it's select to integrate Chirstmas Postcards Collection of Aldeas Infantiles S.O.S. (Uruguay).
His favorite subjects are: country landscapes, ranchos, tracks, lakes, beachs, parks, gardens and still lifes.

Collective Exhibition at Arte Club at Tres Cruces Station, in occation of celebrations of National Patrimony Day.
1998
Collective Exhibition at Arte Club at Culture House of Minas (Uruguay), in homage of the writter Juan José Morosoli, sponsored by Lolita Rubial Foundation; first individual exhibition at Asociación Cristiana de Jóvenes of Montevideo (Uruguay).
1999
Individual Exhibition at Indian and Gaucho Museum of Tacuarembó (Uruguay), in occation of Patria Gaucha Festival, sponsored by the Municipal Direction of Culture (Uruguay); Collective Exhibition with Arte Club at Cultural Space "La Spezia" (Uruguay); Individual Exhibition at Annexed Building of Legislative Palace (Uruguay); Individual Exhibition at COFAC Bank of Aguada (Uruguay); Individual Exhibition at Commercial and Indistrial League of Dolores (Soriano, Uruguay).
2000
Exhibition with Ana Medina Podestá at "La Fontana", Argentino Hotel Casino & Resort, Piriápolis (Uruguay); Individual Exhibition at "Ciudad Arcobaleno", Punta del Este and at Cuartel de Dragones (Didáctico Artiguista Museum) of Maldonado with Yamandú Camacho (Uruguay); Individual Exhibition at COFAC Bank (Piriápolis, Uruguay); Individual Exhibition at COFAC Bank (Montevideo, Uruguay). Collective Exhibition at Arte Club at "British Art Center" of Buenos Aires (Argentina), sponsored by Uruguayan Embassy in Argentina, in homage to Gral.
