Coppetti, María del Carmen
María del Carmen Coppetti, born in Montevideo (Uruguay). Start his painting studies with the artist Tarnowski.
Two years later with the Master Zoma Baitler. In 1960 make up at the Edgardo Ribeiro Studio.
The name of María del Carmen Coppetti appear at the "Artistas Plásticos del Uruguay" published by the Legislative Palace of Uruguay. In 1962 realized a studies trip for Europe, staying one year and being in touch with some european painters and studying the great masters at the Louvre Museum of Paris (France), Del Prado Museum of Madrid (Spain), Modern Art Museum of Madrid (Spain), arround Barcelona (Spain), Paris (France), Italy and Holland.
Participated in several collective and individual exhibitions, besides present his works at the following Official Contest of Uruguay:
1967- XI Plastic Artists Contest of Uruguay.
1968- XII Interior Plastic Artists Contest.
1969- XIII Interior Plastic Artists Contest.
1969- Collective exhibition at the Edgardo Ribeiro School.
1970- Autonomous Government of Montevideo Contest at the Municipal Subway. Government acquire one work to destinate at the Juan Manuel Blanes Museum.
1970- Individual exhibition at the Montevideo Municipal Subway Halls.
1970- Individual exhibition in Fray Bentos City.
1971- Individual exhibition at the Municipal Subway of Montevideo.
1971- Participated at the II Spring Contest of Salto City.
1971- Collective exhibition at the Artes y Letras Hall of Montevideo.
1972- One work was acquire for the Lugo Museum (Spain).
1972- III Spring Contest of Salto City, Honor Medall.
1972- Collective exhibition of the Edgardo Ribeiro School at the Municipal Subway.
1972- Take part at the National Fine Arts Comission Contest.
1973- Take part at the IV Spring Contest of Salto City.
1973- Admit at the XXXVII National Plastic Arts Contest of Montevideo.
1973- Exhibit his works at the Art Collector Circle of Altamira Gallery (Caracas, Venezuela).
1974- Collective exhibition a the Cultural Hall of Durazno City.
1974- Individual exhibition at Boqui Gallery.
1975- Integrated the Contemporary Uruguayan Paint Exhibition at the Uruguay-USA Alliance.
1976- Take part at the I Municipal Summer Contest of Atlántida City, Official Mention and Medall.
1979- Take part at the Montevideo Municipal Contest.
1979- Participated at the National Plastic Arts Contest.
1980- Take part at the Montevideo Municipal Contest.
1980- Take part at the National Plastic Arts Contest.
Died in Montevideo on 21st. May of 1996.
His works are in several private collections of Uruguay, Brazil, Argentina, Peru, USA, Canada, as well in National and European Museums.
