Born in Montevideo (Uruguay) on 27th November of 1935.

His artistic formation develops at home, because his father Vicente J. Rius haves a long trajectory as landscapes and portraits painter and who studied with Joaquín Torres García, Domingo Bazzurro, Vicente Puig, etc.

As well received the influence of María Rosa De Ferrari and Eduardo Vernazza in his secondary studies.  Later attend at "Pedro Figari" Art School for many years.

Studies other technics as Advertising Drawing, Printed Drawings for textiles and wood carving.

Died in Montevideo (Uruguay) on 28th November of 2013 at 78 years old.
