Moreno, Aida
Painter born in Florida (Uruguay) on 11th November of 1919. Studied drawing and painting with the masters Alceu and Edgardo Ribeiro.
Maked some study travels to Europe and USA in 1953, 1962 and 1964.
Maked several exhibitions in Argentina and Uruguay and take part in uruguayan painting contests.
Most important Prizes:
1956- Mention for her oil "Naturaleza muerta" at 1st. San José Municipal Contest (Uruguay).
1957- Junta Departamental de Colonia Mention for her oil "Paisaje" at II San José Municipal Contest (Uruguay).
1963- Acquisition Prize Junta Departamental de Colonia for her pencil "Retrato de L.S." at VII San José Contest (Uruguay).
1963- Legación de Checoslovaquia Prize, Bronze Medal for her oil "Retrato de Lichia", XXVII National Painting Contest (Montevideo, Uruguay).
1966- Adalberto Fontana Prize for her oil "Paisaje" at X Interior Contest (Uruguay).
1967- National Fine Arts Commission Stimulate Prize for her oil "Naturaleza muerta" at XI Interior Contest (Uruguay).
1967- ANCAP Acquisition Prize for her oil "Naturaleza muerta" at XI Interior Contest (Uruguay).
Her work is represented at Tacuarembó Museum (Uruguay) and in private collections of Uruguay, Argentina, Brazil, Israel and Spain.
