Bolinches, Emilio
Born in Montevideo city (Uruguay) in 1960.
Start his drawing studies in 1973 with the master Esteban R. Garino during three years.
Enter at Artes Aplicadas Schook in 1978 as graphic designer.
In 1979 join at Miguel Angel Pareja's master studio. Was distinguished in ten times.
At 22 year old his works take part the Juan Manuel Blanes Museum Heritage, won the 2nd Acquisition Prize at the Municipal Fine Arts Contest (Uruguay).

1976- Take part at "Ciudad de Montevideo" Prize and was selected to the second exhibition at Aramayo Gallery (Uruguay).
1977- V Young Plastical Arts Contest of "Club de Leones" (Uruguay).
1977- "Cúneo Prize" at Nuestro Taller Gallery (Uruguay).
1978- Collective exhibition at Banco la Caja Obrera (Uruguay).

Es posible en toda la seire de Bolinches la vida y la muerte del Naipe. Que ese cartón que cobra aliento por ágiles manos, se transforma y se convierte en Poesía, efecto pictórico o escondido misterio. Además concuerda su pintura con inventiva, oficio e imaginación en la forma de recuperar sus modelos.

Pasó para mi joven amigo, la hora tan placentera de la evación por el juego, la de la suerte encauzada por las reglas, por l adestreza o la ciencia.
Pintura y exorcismo, aquí se confunden, expresando la doble búsqueda de este joven, a la vez ansioso de certidumbres y ávido de autenticidad; la de un "pointl d' encrage" que evite toda nueva deriva y de la de una definición exacta, de una explicación cabal de si mismo.
Y no es casual encontrar en el clima de las obras de Emilio Bolinches esa sobria tonalidad que caracteriza la pintura uruguaya, siempre tentada por la búsqueda en fuentes puramente americanas, de una ideantidad soñada, que anule el antiguo dolor de un aislamiento físico y espiritual.
